If a person has been injured, and their only legal recourse is through civil action, but they do not have sufficient financial means to hire and attorney, what are their options?

You need to have a one-on-one conversation with an attorney who can assess your particular case. What you have described sounds like what we refer to as a Personal Injury case. All of the Personal Injury cases that we take, we handle on a Contingency Agreement. That means that we receive a percentage of any money we recover on the claim. That way, the client can hire us without paying us any money. The percentage most lawyers charge is one-third. That is the same with me. My practice is in the Myrtle Beach area, and I accept cases state-wide.

You are more than welcome to call. I don't charge to consult with people and I can tell you were you stand with your situation.
