Legal Question in Civil Litigation in South Carolina

Slander & False Accusations of Theft

I have been accused of stealing

money from a (well known franchise)

restaurant by their employees -

telling friends & business associates

of mine that they have me on

surveillance tape stealing. This is

impossible because I watched one of

their employees pocket the money-

after we paid for our meal. Which lets

me know there isn't a tape. On top of

the fact that i am not a thief and did

not commit this awful crime. How do

I go about handling this legally? Do I

have a case?

Thanks!

Re: Slander & False Accusations of Theft

You may indeed have a case. However, defamation cases are difficult and are not handled on a contingency fee basis. A lawyer will charge you hourly.
