sued but not involved

If my 21 year old daughter caused an auto accident and was sued but she didn't have anything, could they sue us, homeowners, just because she lives here?

They cannot sue you if you had nothing to do with the accident. They cannot sue you if your daughter simply lives with you. However, your daughter needs to take this seriously and needs to consult with an attorney. If she is sued and the people that sue her are sucessful, then the judgment could have lasting affects and would be public record, and could hurt her in a number of ways in the future.
