Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in South Carolina

renter in foreclosure property

We were informed by a neighbor, whose landlord holds the mortgage on the mobile home we have a 5 year lease with option on, that we are about to be evicted because this property is in foreclosure. When we questioned our landlord, he tried to deny it, but after checking the public information website in our area (Horry County, SC) we have found that this has been going on since August 2007. Do we have any rights to notice, or can we just be removed.

Re: renter in foreclosure property

Go to the mortgage holder + offer to pay rent directly.

Otherwise I would need to review your written lease.
