what if you think some went awol?

i think this guy i kind of know went awol from the army. but the people hes stayin with doesnt know it its just some of the things that hes said he might not of i just want to know what will happen to him. i know hes been here for atleast 30 days i think hes in the middle of ait. what do you do so you dont get the other people into trouble there in the dark?

The best advice for the guy you know is to turn himself in as soon as possible. He will probably be charged with AWOL, and may have to face a court-martial. But he could also request an administrative separation from the Army instead of a court-martial. Things will not get better for him if he stays away any longer. Any traffic stop will get him arrested and hauled back to the Army. There will be a permanent arrest warrant out for him. He should turn himself in immediately.
