Legal Question in Real Estate Law in South Dakota

contract for deed, past due letter

contract for deed payment is in arrears. I need a Legal Demand letter to have the people pay in full or vacate. I wanted to evict and was advised that I need to have a letter sent from an attorney with the proper verbage. Can you help me locate the letter without the use of an attorney? Thank you.

Re: contract for deed, past due letter

There are times when you can find a form and use it yourself. I would not suggest it on this one as my nine years of experience tells me that this letter has requirements that are very specific and very rule oriented. Even you found this form I bet that you will get it wrong 99 times. I have defended these cases in the past and was able to throw out the judgments based on technicalities even when the letters substantially complied with the appropriate statutes. So it is better to spend some money on this one even though this letter and also becuase there is a hearing that follows the letter. If the other side comes with a lawyer then you will have a tough task at hand.
