Legal Question in Business Law in Tennessee

LLC issues

Our company has the LLC tag on everthing that our company uses (i.e. letters, documents, etc...), but not on our logo itself. My CFO is telling me that we don't have the LLC protection unless we have LLC written on EVERY SINGLE THING where our name is written. Is this true, or is he being overly cautious? Our logo is important to us and looks aweful when LLC is attached to it. Thank you very much.

Re: LLC issues

The Logo does not have to be on the actual logo so long as it is conspicuously noted elsewhere. Ofter times people use their logo in one place and somehwere else on the pager it shows the company is an llc. Example, McDonalds logo does not have Inc. on it although I am sure written materials do. It is how you are holding yourself out to the public and the people you do business with.
