How can one be removed as cosigner on an auto loan?

You will need to contact the lender to see if it would be willing to remove you from being a guarantor of the loan. If so, a new document will need to be signed by both you and the lender agreeing to the removal. However, the lender has no obligation to remove you from the loan.
