Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee

My brother is in jail charged with a federal crime he has given me power of attorney over him... He has a court appointed lawyer who I believe isn't looking out for his best interest I don't think his court appointed lawyer wants to help him at all... He has only met my brother twice and he tells me and my brother to not talk about the case Cus the authorities at the jail will hear us and use the evidence against my brother but when I ask his lawyer anything about the case or the evidence he won't talk to me at all and hurries up to get off the phone... So my question is do I kno have more rights to kno what's going on with my brothers case since I'm power of attorney now

Your brother is the client. The fact that you have a power of attorney to act for him in civil matters (like filing his taxes or licensing his car) has no effect whatsoever on your ability to "get into" your brother's criminal case.
