was involved in auto accident as passage driver was charged with D.U.I I was charged with public intoxication and tampering with evidence at time didn't know beer was in car driver told me to get beer out of car so I throw it out I panicked and did as requested into field when ask by officer what happen I told him their was beer in car and at request of driver I throw out at the time no other car was involved I panicked in all confustion I know I was given field test no blood test I need to know my rights and what defence I have

You claim in your question that you did not know beer was in the car and did not know what you were throwing out or why. Lack of knowledge may be something to discuss with your lawyer as a potential defense. If your friend set you up by getting you to get rid of the evidence, you may want to discuss with your lawyer testifying or cooperating in exchange for a deal. Talk to a criminal defense lawyer right away.
