HB1 visa and Marriage

My boyfried holds a HB1 visa it is to expire end of 2009. I want to marry him and he wants me,he has ask me to marry but our age difference he is afraid if we do ,immigration will not accept the application of our marriage. He is 34 and I am 50 would this matter we have been together now for 6 months.

Although a large age difference typically triggers higher scrutiny by immigration, it does not necessarily lead to an application being denied outright. What you must prove is that your relationship has been entered into in "good faith", therefore, you must make sure you have sufficient evidence to prove your relationship. I agree with the previous answer that age is one of many factors that the Immigration officer uses to determine if the marriage is for love and not just for immigration purposes.
