Legal Question in International Law in Tennessee

While living in Germany created debt now back in USA trying to pay German debt

My family and I lived in Germany for six years. In that time we created debt:bank loans, car lease. It became to expensive for us to stay with only one income,so we returned to the USA.Giving all our creditors our state side address. We have been back for about six weeks,I have been employed for three weeks. Now we have creditors demanding full payment on loans or they will garnish my wages.I leased a car from Toyota and returned it after a year. Now they are demanding 17,000.00euros for a 24,000.00euro car. There was no damage done to the car when it was returned.I have no idea what my legal rights are.I wish to pay them.I don't understand where Toyota gets this huge sum from.It is like I buy the car and they keep it.The other banks want their money as well. Can they garnish my wages?I have three childern 6,8,and11 years old. My wife is a German citizen with a green card.I don't know what to do?Could you please advise me in these issues. Thankyou,B.N.

This is all a bit complicated. Toyota can ask for this amount - breach of contract. The other debts and Toyota should be negotiated. They can garnish wages depending how much you make
