Legal Question in Personal Injury in Tennessee

homeowners insurance claim

I broke my arm on vacation while horseback riding at a friends house out of state. Can I file a claim on her homeowners insurance to get my medical bills covered? So far I've had 2 surgeries 4 casts and an external fixator. I'm waiting to see if I'll need a 3rd surgery.

Re: homeowners insurance claim

If her policy has such coverage, you can. Depending upon how the incident happened, you may also have a third party claim.

Whos horses were they? What happened that caused the incident? There may be homeowners insurance but there may be also additional coverages available. If you have health insurance, remember that your health insurance company may be entitled to subrogation.
