Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband's ex-wife is constantly calling and text messaging how my step-son behaves and since he's 12 y/o he's at that stage he wants to test his wings. By law, are we required to respond or is it just in an emergency that we have to contact her? When it's her weekend w/the kids she's either calling or texting that my step-son misbehaved and can't handle him, is this something we can stop?

No you do not have to respond, however if you ignore one message that may be important it could back fire, read the text and if not important delete them and know that eventually your step-son will be 18 and in college. The drama is not worth the fight here, if you respond to her texts she will only send more. Take the high road and let her vent and move on.
