Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Bank Account

My husband owes several creditors, and one creditor has received a judgement against him. My husband has no bank accounts in his name, but I do. Can the creditor freeze my bank account? The credit card was not a joint account, was only in my husband's name. The bank account is not joint, is only in my name. I was concerned because TX is a community property State. His payroll check is deposited to my bank account, does that make a difference?

Thank you

Re: Bank Account

Texas is a community property state, as you noted. That means your husband's debt is half yours, and your account is at risk.
