Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

ex boyfriend owes me $25,000

While my boyfriend and I were together, with plans of marrying, I lent him $25,000 to buy a truck for himself. I was stupid and did not ask him to sign a note regarding repayment. I wrote him a check, the truck was in his name. We have since broken up - is there a chance I could sue him for repayment? He seems to believe now the money was a ''gift''

Yes..but will he have the money to pay???and lawsuits are not cheap...call us if you would want our help...
