Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Brazoria County Release of Judgment

An atty who was fired by us managed to get a judgment + another 12,000. for his reasonable? fees because I could not afford representation. That judgment was paid in full 6 months ago and he is refusing to release me from the writ of garnesment. Isn't this illegal?? How could he benefit from this?? The court says I have to hire an attorney to get it released. Isn't there another way. I cannot find a job because of this matter. I cannot hire an attorney. I am really loosing it. Please tell me what to do on my own with the court. Brazoria County is a scam. Why do I have to hire an attorney. This is paid!

Not enough facts..but go to the Texas State Bar webpage and contact them...they will get an explanation from your attorney and if you are owed anything, probably get you paid.
