Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I was evicted from my apartment for non payment after only living there for two months. Now the complex is saying i owe over 2000 dollars to them by the end of the month. i explained that i had lost income and could not afford it but they were not cooperative. can they take money from my bank account or pay check without my consent?
