Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas
I purchased something at a rent to own place "Rent 1st". I am 30 days behind on a weekly rental. Can they file a bench warrant for my arrest?

Did you buy it or rent it? You say purchased, but then rental. There is no criminal offense, unless you hiding their merchandise from them. They can come pick it up.

no....and if the creditor threatens jail..have them put it in writing as it is against the law BUT if u take the rented item elsewhere, it could be theft..so let them have it if they come to get it.
