Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

Repo of car

I signed for a car for my ex and her father co signed. The car was repo'd 3 days ago. I went and took the car out by paying $2300.00 and I want to keep the car. The ex has no proof of anything except insurance that she had the car. She has ruined my credit with not paying on time. She had the car for about 3 years. Do I have legal rights to keep the car? The balance on the car is $6500.00 to HSBC.

Re: Repo of car

If the car is titled in your name you can keep it. But you'll have to pay for it.
