Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

I am a Texas resident and I have been for forty years. In 2006 ... I was sued in the State of Mississippi and the Plaintiff was awarded a summary judgment of $40,000. I have not paid the judgment.

Now in 2010 . I have received a request for post judgment interrogatories . which asks a lot of questions that I do not want to answer under oath.

Can a County Court of Law in Mississippi compel me to answer the interrogatories if I do not live or work within the jurisdiction of Mississippi. If I fail to answer the interrogatories ... what can the Mississippi Court and or the Plaintiff do to force me to answer the questions.

Does the Plaintiff need to file a new lawsuit in Texas to force me to answer the interrogatories.

Thank you

You should repost your question to Mississippi lawyers, to find out what the law is in that state. My guess would be that the judgment needs to be filed in Texas to be enforceable in Texas.
