Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Cell Phone

My 13 yo son found a cell phone at his buss stop and was tossing it around with friends until it broke. The child that the phone belonged to is now coming to our door (with his parents) asking for the full no contract replacement value of another phone because the phone her child had is not made anymore. I offered her a exact phone with every accessory available that I purchased from craigslist in return (like new condition). She will not accept and says she will see us in court. What should I do??? What is acceptable (fair)??

WOW. I can't believe, no yes I can, that people would threaten others over a cell phone with legal actions. I don't believe that any attorneys would take this case to court, maybe I am wrong.
