Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Head Truma

What legal rights do we have if a realative was pushed from a moving vehicle, hit head. Got up tried to retrive his wallet from car, but persons would not stop. He jumped on moving car attempting to stop driver. He was thrown from the car hit head a second time. He ending up in a truma center for 1 wk. The driver, (his wife) left the scene and did not stop to render help. He died from complications from head injuries. Did the driver commit an ilegal act? The police did not fully investigate the incident because the victim did not want a police investigation. Why wouldn't the police pursue this, espcieally now that the male victim died as a result of the two head injuries?

Re: Head Truma

Without knowing all the facts and circumstances, it sounds like there are issues of assault, possilby a felony hit and run, domestic violence and maybe others. Were there witnesses?

Remedies may be sought civally and criminally but an attorney and the district attorney have to look at all of the facts.
