Under Texas state law, Article 42.12, Section 20, Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, explains early termination of a probation is possible with certain exceptions. Generally, you may qualify if you have served 1/3 or 2 years of your probation, whatever is less. An attorney will make a motion in the court that granted you the probation to terminate the probation. The attorney will consult with the prosecutor, probation department, and judge; if you have completed the education, treatment, community service restitution and current on your court costs and probation fees you may have a good chance to terminate early. Good Luck.
