Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I have two priors that are over 19yr old and a recent arrest for misdemeanor theft that should be a class c under 50 but the cop but it in the system as a class B. I wasn't caught or apprehended even trying to leave walmart no stolen items but my friends were. And when I went looking for them and they were being detained they tryed to say I stole a portion of what they had on them. How can I even be charged with anything if I never even had anything stole on my person or in my possession when the 2 girls got caught and nobody tryed to even detain me, but because I went looking for them I was charged too. How does this work?

Even if you did not personally take anything, and regardless of what the others say, you can be charged as a party - if they can prove you added, abeited, etc. (served as a lookout, encouraged the others to steal, etc.), then you can be convicted just as they can.
