Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

I"m a registered sex offender in Texas, my lawyer at the time said it was my best bet to stay out of jail..So I took the plea. A few months later my lawyer was arrested and placed in the very same county jail he left me in.

I passed all their polygraph test, which I didn't force my victim nor know her age at the time. Is there anything that can be done so it can be taken off my record and I don't have to register for life.

Sounds like you are saying the complainant was under age. Not knowing her age is NOT a defense. If you were more than 3 years older than her and she was under 17, then it is a crime - period.

Whether you have to continue to register depends on your age at the time of the offense. Consult with a local lawyer.

Also, your attorney going to jail will not affect your conviction or registration unless perhaps he went to jail for something having to do with your trial. Generally, a conviction can not be expunged. You were convicted either because you pleaded guilty or because a judge or jury found you guilty. A polygraph test can't help you now might not have been able to have helped you before.
