Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Slander?
Is this statute still on the books in the state of Texas? Is it known as another offense - Defemation of Character maybe? If it is still present, could you please tell me where I can find the elements of the offense for it?

Texas law does protect you against defamation. It is codified state as well as common law.
