Statute of Limitations

on a Class B Misdemeanor Evade Arrest charge, if the statute of limitations runs out can you still be charged with this if there was never a warrant issued for this charge?

Hello there,

The reason crimes other than murder have statute of limitations time lines is to protect citizens from being hassled by the State.

There is a two year staute for your case. After two years the State can not do anything to you.
