DA Subpoenaed

My husband (police officer) was supoenaed by the DA. He has not worked for that police dept for more than a year. We live now about 4 hours away. Does he get milage or anything paid for? And how long does this type of court case last?

Re: DA Subpoenaed

Hi there,

Your husband should contact the District Attorney and inform him of the inconvenience and ask if they are going to pay for his travel expenses and testimony.

Since he was the arresting officer or had some part in the investigation he has a duty to testify and comply with the subpoena.

Sincerely,
