Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

In 1998 I divorced and my ex wife was awarded 50& of my pension At this point, she is common law marrited to someone else and so am i. Is she still entitled to the 50%?

If the divorce decree stated that she was awarded 50% of your pension, she is entitled to it. Did either of you ever submit the proper paperwork to the judge to sign the divide the pension?

I would take your paperwork to an experienced family law attorney to review.

I assume that you are getting ready to retire and you want to take your pension now. Now would be a good time to sit down with an attorney and discuss your options.
