Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am 15 from Texas. I have done my research and read that in order to decide which parent to live with, I must "file with the Court in writing the name of the parent who the child would choose to have the right to determine where they lived, subject to the approval of the court" Where and how do I file this? And possibly how could I do this w/o my mother knowing until the decision is made by the judge? I want to live with my father and I have taken the time to think about what could happen and I have not changed my mind about this once for the past year. I know its a bold move but I know its whats best for me. My dad is in the Army and moves around a lot state to state so would that change anything? Please give me the best advice on what to do, I would really appreciate it!

Your father has to file to modify the current court order. You mom would be served with the legal papers since this a lawsuit. As a minor, you have no "standing" (right) to go to court. So talk to your dad. I might also suggest counseling for you and both your parents. Good luck!
