Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have a 15 year old daughter who is living with her dad and she feels trapped and is asking if she can move home with me. I thought I would like that, but her dad says I would still have to pay the child support and that he is in charge and she can't make that decision. Is that true? and if not how do I help her? I can not afford another attorney or another court battle as he is already ready for that and is preparing for a battle. My 17 year old has just moved out and he is retaliating through her medical and dental areas

Unfortunately, you're going to need to hire a lawyer. You meed to file a petition for change of custody.

Unless there are skeletons in your closet, the Judge will probably change the custody to let the daughter live with you.

It isn't a question of "who is in charge." It's the best interest of the child.
