Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have an adult disabled son (19 yrs old) that lives with his mother in Texas. I agree that child support is due. My question is this... If my son receives SSI payments does that amount get deducted from what I owe in support?

Usually children are not entitled to child support after the age of 18. However a court can order support to continue after the age of 18 for disabled children. I don't know that SSI income will be deducted from the child support obligation. However, SSI may consider child support as income.that may disqualify your son from SSI and medicaid.
