Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Child Support Reversal

Last year my 12 yr. old son moved in with me. Since then I have continued to pay child support to his mother. How can I get the child support reversed since I am now responsible for supporting my son?

Re: Child Support Reversal

You may be able to modify the Decree to do away with the child support provision. Your ex may agree to do this or you could have the court decide based on the change in circumstances. Either way it is important to have it reduced to a written order. Things can get messy if you stop paying in accordance with the existing Decree.
