Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My child's father & I have never been married. 100% sure he's the father. If I don't put his name on the birth certificate, what are his rights as far as custody or taking my child? And am I still able to receive child support?

Put his name on the certificate. If he proves he's the father, he should be allowed custody rights. Hire a local lawyer to have orders entered re custody and child support.
