Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have custody of my 17yr old daughter. She just informed me that she wants to live with her father-however I had already received notice from the school district that he signed a legal guardianship paper for her friends mother to have guardianship of my child. He was not legally able to do that as I have the only right to determine her living arrangements. he wants modification so he can decide her living arrangements. I don't have a problem with him having custody but I don't want him to be able to give legal guardianship to someone else. Is this a possibility or should I just give it up. She will be 18 in dec 2013

If you have legal custody, you have the right to dictate where she lives until she is 18. If you do not want him signing over guardianship, then do not allow him to take custody of her.
