Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Hello there, I was dating someone who is going through a divorce, currently separated, waiting for her ex to sign the papers - - She just gave birth to my child, though, she got pregnant during the separation. Would I, or her get into trouble for this? Or could I and her both get the BaH for this? What is the best way to approach this? Also, would it be best to say something after the divorced is finalized? Or would that not matter? We are both in the Army

Since she is currently married, the husband is the presumed father of this child.

Are you listed on the birth certificate?

You probably need to talk to the legal department of the Army for help.

You need to establish your parental rights since the two of you are not married.

You can also look for a private attorney - look on this website & on www.avvo.com for an attorney.
