Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I divorced my ex in 2011. We have two children. While married we filed bankruptcy. Per divorce decree he has to pay all bankruptcy payments till this month. He is now saying I have to pay half and also he says the divorce papers are wrong. He says that he's not getting standard visitation and the figures were wrong on child support. He says he is going to take me back to court. I am a single mom and scared he's trying to take my kids. Help!! What do I do?

First, don't let him intimidate into agreements that are not helpful for your children. Many attorneys will consult with you for a limited fee. You should take your decree to an attorney and discuss his new assertions. He may just have buyer's remorse, and be hoping to get you to renegotiate the decree. Just because he says he is going back to court, doesn't mean that he is going to. None of these financial issues justify a change of conservatorship. Call an attorney, explain that you wish to pay for a consultation to review your decree and your situation. It will be worth it for the peace of mind.
