Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband whom i am divorcing doesnt get off until 10 pm on the weekends that he has visitation with our son when he is supposed to get him at 6 pm. Does the 30 minute grace period apply or do i have to wake up my son in the middle of the night to go with his dad. Not to mention he doesnt even come get the baby on his monday and wednesday visitation because he refuses to change his work schedule to morning shifts to see his son in the evening.

Why do you think there's a "30 minute grace period?"

Read your order. It probably orders you to surrender the child on certain days at 6:00 pm. It probably does NOT specify a "grace period" and probably doesn't require you to allow Dad any latitude.

Write a paper letter to Dad - no phone calls, no texts, no emails - put a date on it, and keep a copy - tell him you're going to go by what the order says, and that you will surrender the child at 6:00 pm - not at any other time.
