Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My soon to be ex husband wants to have the kids for a year and switch every year. But I'm concerned about the schools. He lives about 10 hrs away. My kids are comfortable with where they are at. I don't know if the school will allow the every other year. He hasn't visited them in 7 months. I feel he has no time for them. Since he always says he's working. He rarely calls our kids.. Please help.

That's a horrible idea. Don't do it.

First, it's terrible for the children. Second, if he has the children living with him for more than 6 months, he can move the case to his hometown, ask the court to make him primary, and get you to pay him child support.

This is a set up. Hire an attorney and push this guy back.
