Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I've been married for 1 month. My husband wants a divorce. We bought a house together 9 months ago. It is in his name but i paid part of down payment.

Can he make me sell the house?

There are very good reasons for getting married before you buy a house. Ownership and being able to divide the asset relatively easily during the divorce being the main ones.

The house was purchased before the marriage; it isn't community property. Sounds like you gifted him with a nice sum of money when you went in on that down payment. He doesn't have to make you sell the house. It's in his name, he can do as he wants.
