Does a non custodial parent have to let there child go to a school function if it's there weekend?

I think what you're saying is that it's your weekend for visitation, and there's something going on at the school.

GENERALLY, the answer is NO, you don't have to take the child to the school function.

But my next question is: What exactly is the "school function"? Is it tutoring? Meet the teachers? Is it something important?

Remember that if the child is looking forward to going, and you don't take him, it will affect your relationship with the child.
