The procedure is to file a suit to establish paternity and conduct blood tests to determine who is the father. If one is a match, then orders are established for the child and for child support, with a retroactive child support in the discretion of the court. With the attorney general, if retroactive child support is ordered, I see large amounts of that money often beeing assigned to the government instead of to the mother...

You can request that a court order paternity testing in a Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship. I suggest you contact an attorney in your area to discuss this type of action.
