Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Need probono lawyer or just advice for when i go back to court

My husband left almost 6 months ago for his secratary@ his work. He filed for the divorce in sept we went to court for temporary orders. I didnt have legal representation so i sat w/ his lawyer to discuss child support property divorce & visitations. For one he recieved almost everything i wasnt thinking at the time i was left w/out a car. I moved to killeen standered orderes are that he is to pick them up here fri. and i am to pick them up in san antonio sun. 150 miles. He is working under the table right now he claims he lost his job so he is paying me 250 for two kids a month starting oct. so he got out of paying jul aug & sept. my child support barely covers pampers and the gas money i have to give to my friends who take me back and forth every other weekend. I know we have to go back to court will the judge hear me out if i dont have a lawyer? I have applied for jobs but i have no one to take care of the kids while i'm @ work. Legal aid wont help me and i dont have any money. Righ now I am very disappointed with the ways things are going i dont have the money to pay for attorney cost so i feel like i am pretty much just screwed if there is anything that you can tell me that will help me out i would greatly appreciate it!

Yes, the judge will listen to your side of the story, but you are at an obvious disadvantage, since your husband has an attorney. Keep looking for legal representation. Try the local law schools, as they sometimes have an indigent clinic. Also try the Catholic Charities, and see if they can steer you to organizations. Also try www.lawhelp.org as they have help for free/cheap. Good luck. TCL

If you are in the Houston area I will help you with what you need to do and say- I cannot afford to represent you in a full blow custody fight but I will help you through the process. Contact me by phone or e-mail.
