Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

If son moves with other parent 5 months before turning 18 and the noncustodial parent hasn't change custodial rights thru the courts , can the noncustodial get child support

Technically yes, but the cost of going to court to change the order, probably outweighs the benefit. In other words it probably is not practical - with only 5 months left.
