Re: Statuority Rape

Statutory Rape is a criminal offense and a serious one as well. It is a strict liability offense, meaning that all the district attorney has to prove is that a sex act took place between you and the girl and you will probably be found guilty. You cannot claim consent as a defense because an underage girl in this situation is presumed to be unable to consent to sex. I advise you too seek legal counsel - if found guilty, you could potentially serve jail time. If you are in Harris County, I recommend Attorney David Breston. His specialty is criminal law and he can help. You can contact him at (713) 224-4040. Just let him know that I referred you to him.

John is right, words alone can convict. THere are several issues that need to be addressed, you need a lawyer that has handled these cases before because pleading to a sexual assault case is a life long branding as a registered sex offender. If you are in the Austin/ San Antonio areas please call me at 512 392 5010
