Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am in Texas, the non custodial parent moved to Australia today and left no forwarding address. Is it possible to be able to get full/sole custody with supervised visitation? He says he will be coming back just for visits and that he will take the kids for summer visitation in Australia. I do not want them leaving the country, kids are 5, 7, 7 years old.

Probably not, just based on the facts you presented. If he returns for visits, it will be hard to make the court believe he's much of an international flight risk. Even if you can, the court might order him to post a bond for the return of the children. Supervised visits are generally for the worst possible parents.

You might be able to get sole, but so what? You probably effectively have sole anyway? What decisions concerning there children is the other parent involved in? If none, then you are already exercising sole managing conservatorship.

You might want to consult with s local family law attorney about your specific facts.
