Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I wanted to have my child's bilogical father's parental rights taken away. My son was born in 2005. His father was arrested in 4/2005 a month after he was born. for the last 5 yeras he has been in and out of jail for drugs, running from the police. parole violation, etc, etc. I have attempted to establish a relationship between the 2 and have not been successful. I believe that it would be in the best interest for my son is his biological father did not have any rights to visitation. His father has done absolutely nothing to provide any type of support for our son while he was out on bond. He will return to TDC in a few weeks again. Please advise as to what would be the best way to get this done. Thank you

You would file a petition for termination of his parental rights. This is covered by chapter 161 of the Texas Family Code.
