Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

car incident

My friend gave me her keys to drive her car to pick her up. As I was coming out of the garage I bumped the car into a stationary object causing damage to her front end. The police were not called and we are going to g through the insurance company on this.

Legally though, do I HAVE to pay for the damages to her car or since she gave me permission to drive it, she assumes the responsibility.

Legally - you are reponsible for the damage you caused. Your friend did not give you permossion to damage her car.
