Verbal Contracts
Loaned girlfriend $507 in November of 97. She was suppose to repay me on the 6th, but never made payment. This led to me ending the relationship. Iasked for the money she owed me. SHe blocked calls/avoided any conversation with me. I filed court papers in Nov 97. Upon getting summons, she called asking me to drop case and to settle with her out of court. We agreed that she pay me $50 a month until all money was paid back. She made one payment in Dec 97. She then "disappeared" in Jan 98. Found her in Jan 00. Filed court papers immed. At trial, her attorney said verbal contracts not valid after 2 Yrs. I won case, but they appealed. What info can I get on verbal contracts? Thanks
